NousQ is a MedTech startup headquartered in Singapore. Its first product CLiKX® is the world’s first handheld robotic surgical applicator that will help millions more patients hear better again. Patients with middle ear infection (glue ear) require ear tube insertions when medications and antibiotics fail. 

Glue ear is the leading cause of hearing loss in children, leading reason for surgery under general anesthesia (GA) for children, and the commonest reason children see doctors and use antibiotics. 

Current surgeries require GA in an operating theatre, costly surgical microscope, multiple micro-instrumentations. Globally, only about 18 million patients receive the surgery due to barriers to access, long wait times, high cost, specialist ENT scarcity, and concerns about GA.  

CLiKX® would allow ear tube insertion in just 1 second, in the clinic with just local anesthetic and portable headlight. CLiKX® would give hope to 100 million more patients that are not receiving the needed care, reduces cost up to 4 times, reduces waiting time and complications, improves outcome of hearing, speech and language development, work and social options. 

Currently at Pre-Series A, NousQ’s next milestones are to obtain approvals and gain entry in Singapore and Indonesia, and to commence FDA trial in 2025. FDA and Australia TGA approvals follow in 2026.
