The Mahidol Oxford Translational Innovation Partnership (MOTIP), a Wellcome Trust-funded initiative, accelerates the translation of cutting-edge research into tangible health impacts. Based at the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU) in Bangkok, Thailand, MOTIP drives high-impact research projects across the Tropical Health Network, with units in Laos (LOMWRU), Cambodia (COMRU), Chiang Rai (CCRU), Mae Sod (SMRU), and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (KIMORU). By bridging the gap between research and global health outcomes, MOTIP empowers researchers to move beyond publication and create real-world change. Through pump-priming funds, expert mentorship, training, and strategic partnerships, we catalyze a culture of innovation and impact within the Faculty of Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University and the broader MORU network. 

MOTIP currently focuses on supporting the excellent researchers within the MORU network and Mahidol University. Our collaborators represent a wide range of disciplines and areas of expertise. We actively seek research projects across all disciplines — from Digital Health and Diagnostics to Novel Therapeutics and Breakthrough Interventions that have the potential to make an impact on the global health community.
